This device is a special tool for clamping the drill pipe in the mouse hole when connecting and disconnecting the drill pipe in the drilling operation. Its main feature is the automatic adjustment of the clamping force. If used in conjunction with the Kelly spinner, there is no need to pull the spinning rope, which can make the single-rod connection operation mechanized, reducing physical labor and avoiding accidents.
